The Praxis Course is a guided experience designed to awaken your redemptive imagination—the capacity to see your work, your relationships, and your everyday life as part of God’s renewing work in the world—and equip you to act boldly out of love and sacrifice.
As you go through these sessions, our hope is that you’ll feel encouraged, challenged, and ready to take the next step in your calling toward the renewal of all things.

The Praxis Course captures the core ideas and stories lived out in our community and opens them up to anyone ready to discover the life they were made for.
We designed the course for people looking for meaning and purpose wherever they are—boardrooms and break rooms, kitchens and clinics, study halls and city halls. The Course is for the curious, the restless, the people who know deep-down that there’s more to their calling.
For leaders of churches, workplace groups, or other organizations, the course is also a ready-made resource for equipping the people in your community to live and work redemptively, no matter their sector or stage in life.
Session by Session
Praxis Co-Founder & CEO Dave Blanchard introduces The Praxis Course and its central invitation: to awaken redemptive imagination and discover what it means to put our faith into action through our lives and work.
The course begins with the story God has written us into, calling us to build and cultivate. We examine how culture making can be a way to love our neighbors and demonstrate the gospel.
The redemptive way of creative restoration through sacrifice is the life we’re looking for. This session introduces the Redemptive Frame and highlights the difference between exploitative, ethical, and redemptive ways of living and leading.
The way we try to change the world is just as important as the goal. This session explores why the method matters, and why friendship, blessing, and faithful presence are essential to redemptive influence.
Every vocation and issue presents opportunities for redemptive imagination. This session asks us to consider how our calling and work intersect with the major challenges of our time. By finding ways to put the redemptive way into action, we aim to live out Jesus’ prayer, “on earth as it is in heaven.”
Next, we look at how God made us for both authority (our capacity to take meaningful action) and vulnerability (our exposure to meaningful risk). When we revert to control or withdraw to safety, we rob ourselves of the good life and rob the world of our greatest contribution.
Grace frees us for a redemptive quest that is consequential, prophetic, and compelled by love. Through our Redemptive Quest explorer, this final session invites you to move toward concrete next steps with trust, courage, and hope.

The course is best experienced alongside others, whether through a church, organization, workplace, or informal community. Hosts don’t need prior training or expertise—only a willingness to convene a group and follow the provided guides. Participants should come with big questions and be prepared to engage honestly with the material.
